Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to you honestly today, carrying the weight of loving someone who wears a badge and sometimes brings the darkness of their work into our home. You understand the challenges we face when our officers become hardened, when their attitudes shift, and when they struggle to leave the job at the door.
Father, we admit we don’t always know how to respond. We’ve attempted fixing, pleading, and walking on eggshells, but we can’t change hearts—only you can. Help us navigate this tension with wisdom, neither excusing harmful behavior nor responding in ways that further damage our relationships.
Grant us the strength to love without enabling, to speak the truth wrapped in grace, and to establish healthy boundaries when necessary. When we feel overwhelmed by their struggles, remind us that you see everything and are working even when we can’t perceive progress.
Please help us to find our peace in you, not in our circumstances. Show us when to speak, when to listen, and when to pray. Guard our hearts against bitterness and fill us with your supernatural love.
We trust you with our marriages, our officers, and our futures.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” – Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)
